Wellbeing for Education Return – WER

Posted: November 10, 2020

Redbridge Educational Wellbeing Team (REWT) is leading a government initiative entitled “Wellbeing for Education Return – WER”.   This training package will promote wellbeing and positive mental health in schools following the Covid-19 pandemic.  The main focus for the WER programme is a series of workshops aimed primarily at school staff.  All Redbridge schools will receive training about supporting Children and Young People (CYP) as well as parents and staff wellbeing following the Covid-19 pandemic.

They have also developed a series of helpful workshops for Redbridge parents and designed two of them for parents who have children or young people with SEMH needs or Learning Disabilities.

Some of these parent workshops are also running in Bengali, Punjabi, and Urdu, for parents who would have difficulty with workshops delivered in English.

REWT will be using Zoom to deliver these sessions and there is a registration that parents have to complete in order to sign up.
