All students are withdrawn for individual support sessions on a weekly basis with our Literacy Mentor. The aim is to provide personally targeted literacy and language support to consolidate achievement in English.
All students are given individual support from our Behaviour Mentor. The aim is to provide personally targeted assistance to enable students to reflect and consider ways in which they could better manage their behaviour in the future in order to raise their achievement overall.
Our careers advisor visits on a fortnightly basis to provide individual support and advice to our students regarding post 16 options.
Our EOTAS Health Advisor visits regularly and offers advice and support to students on a variety of health issues.
Safer Schools Officer
We have an allocated police officer who visits regularly to engage with students and develop positive relationships, as well as offer specific police support and intervention should it prove necessary.
As a further support for students we have our own Educational Psychologist who works at CBC one day each week. Our psychologist will work individually with students but also, where requested by them, with parents or families. They are also just available for students to go along and talk.
Student Social Worker
Our students benefit from a student Social Worker placed with us from the University of East London who carries out mentoring and individual support, group work, schools liaison and some statutory duties.
